The Weidlich Bros Mfg. Co. was founded in 1901 (others say 1905), in Bridgeport, CT by two brothers, Louis W. and Charles E. Weidlich.  The company was a well respected manufacturer of silverplated and sterling silver items known for Art Deco and Victorian ornate decorative items like:  jewelry caskets, candlesticks, clocks, inkwells, hollowware, salt & pepper shakers, electric lamps, etc.  Mr. Louis Weidlich died in 1950 and the company closed.  They were acquired by Web Silver.
